SAA Campership Application

Chief Bogan Scholarship (merit based)

The purpose of the Chief Bogan Scholarship is to assist in sending Boy Scouts from the Connecticut Yankee Council to Camp Sequassen for a period of one week during the summer.  This is a merit based campership; that is, any Scout may apply, regardless of his financial need. Scoutmasters are encouraged to submit an application for at least one but not more than two candidates per unit for the Chief Bogan Scholarship. 1. Be a registered Scout and be active in their troop for at least six months.
  2. Be at least a Tenderfoot (unless medical reasons prevent attainment).
  3. Complete the application form.
  4. Submit with the application form, a short essay, written in their own words and entitled “What Scouting Means to Me”.
