Donate to our Campership fund

Each year, the Sequassen Alumni Association proudly awards three camperships to help ensure that every Scout has the opportunity to experience the adventure, growth, and lifelong memories of Camp Sequassen.

  • The Chief Bogan Scholarship is awarded based on the merit, leadership, and character of an outstanding Scout.

  • The Laurel Leaf Campership is granted based on demonstrated financial need.

  • The SAA Founders Award is also awarded based on financial need, helping remove barriers so Scouts can fully participate in the camp experience.

These camperships are made possible entirely through the fundraising efforts and generosity of donors who believe in the mission of the Sequassen Alumni Association. Your support directly helps Scouts attend Camp Sequassen, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create memories that last a lifetime.

In addition, donors who choose to fully fund a campership have the unique opportunity to have a campership awarded annually in their honor, creating a lasting legacy of support for future generations of Scouts.

Please consider making a gift today and investing in the next generation of leaders.

FAQ

What is a Sequassen Alumni Association campership?

A campership is a financial award provided by the Sequassen Alumni Association to help Scouts attend Camp Sequassen. These awards help offset the cost of summer camp so that more Scouts can participate in the full camp experience regardless of financial circumstances.

Applications are reviewed by the Sequassen Alumni Association Campership Committee. Merit-based awards consider leadership, service, and overall Scout character, while need-based awards evaluate demonstrated financial need. All applications are handled thoughtfully and respectfully.

Camperships are funded entirely through donations and fundraising efforts of the Sequassen Alumni Association. Individuals may contribute any amount to support the general campership fund. Donors who fully fund a campership may also have a campership awarded annually in their honor, creating a lasting legacy that helps Scouts attend Camp Sequassen for years to come.

Campership awards are applied directly toward the Scout’s Camp Sequassen registration fees. Funds are not distributed directly to individuals but are credited to the Scout’s camp account to reduce the overall balance due.

Campership application deadlines are set prior to the start of the summer camping season. Specific dates and submission instructions are listed on the Camperships page. Scouts and families are encouraged to apply early to ensure full consideration.
